Common Care Guide for Each Product

  • Jeans

    【How to Wash】

    1) Separate & Minimize
Wash your jeans separately as the colors transfer happen very easily to other apparel. Jeans may damage other clothing if washing together, as jeans fabrics are thick and stiff. Please note that jeans are naturally dyed and we highly recommend you to wash it first before using.

    2) Using Neutral Detergent
Most detergents are either low alkaline or neutral. Low alkaline detergents do a better job of cleaning than neutral detergents do. Though generally low alkaline detergents are very effective, that effectiveness means a greater likelihood of color fading. When washing jeans, consider the neutral laundry detergents that are reserved for delicate items.

    3) Cold Temperature instead of Hot
Stains (ie: body/ skin oil) come out easier when washed in hot or warm water. However, the higher water temperature, the greater likelihood of color fading. Therefore, it’s important to wash jeans in cold water.

    4) Gentle Wash Cycles
Jeans fade easily due to friction. The regular wash cycles of washing machines result in heavy friction due to their higher rotations. Therefore, choose gentle wash cycles instead.

    5) Do not use dryer or do not dry in direct sunlight.

    Optional: Minimize Dust Tips
Dust easily to be spotted on black or darker jeans. It clings to jeans due to the static electricity that results from friction, including when doing laundry. A bit of attention can go a long way toward minimizing dust build up. Here are the things to do.

    • Laundry Softener
Using a laundry softener can greatly reduce the static electricity is less likely to accumulate, and thus dust is less likely to cling. Consider washing your jeans separately because washing with other items can easily result in your jeans covered in lint.

     • Removing Dust
Use a lint roller, remover or brush to remove dust and lint. Masking tape are acceptable but avoid those that are strongly adhesive because they’ll cause napping.

  • Knit

    When to Wash
    • Wash only when necessary, such as when there is visible dirt or odour (e.g. smoke).
    • As a general guide, knitwear can often be worn several times before washing, depending on use and condition.

    Tips:
    1. Wear a light inner layer (e.g. light innerwear) under your knitwear to reduce direct contact and minimise washing.
    2. Air the garment between wears to keep it fresh.

    How to Wash
    Follow the care label instructions
    • For delicate knitwear such as cashmere and merino wool, hand washing is recommended.
    • If machine washing is permitted, use a laundry net, gentle cycle and mild detergent.
    • Dry flat to help maintain the garment's shape.

    1. Use cool or cold water
    2. Use a mild detergent suitable for wool
    3. Gently press the garment — do not rub or twist

    How to Dry
    1. Do NOT wring the product
    2. Gently press out excess water
    3. Lay the garment flat on a towel or mesh drying rack

    • Reshape the garment while damp to maintain its original form
    • Avoid hanging, as this may cause stretching

    Piling Care
Pilling may occur due to friction during wear and washing, causing fibres to form small balls on the surface.

    To reduce pilling:
    • Avoid friction from rough surfaces or accessories (e.g. bags)
    • Wash less frequently and use gentle care methods

    To remove pilling:
    • Use a fabric shaver for a quick and even result
    • Alternatively, use small scissors to carefully trim pills one by one

    ⚠️ Important precautions:
    • Lay the garment on a flat surface before trimming
    • Trim only the pills — do not cut the fabric
    • Avoid pulling pills by hand, as this may damage fibres
    • Do not over-trim, as repeated removal may thin the fabric over time

  • Linen

Linen is breathable and feels cool to wear, it has long been known as a warm weather essential. It is well known for wicking and quick drying.

    【How to Wash】
Linen is prone to be wrinkled easily. So try to use a laundry net when doing laundry in washing machine or choose gentle wash cycles. Ultimately, you may handwash carefully in warm water alone.

    【How to Spin】
The spin cycle is the main cause of wrinkling when washing. When using a washing machine, the regular spin cycle is too long for linen products. Stretching and flattening by hand when hanging dry are insufficient, so it is recommended to shorten the spin cycle.

If you are washing by hand, hang the item to dry without wringing. The fabric will stretch due to the weight of the water and look better when dry. Linen products can dry quickly, even in a situation of drying in dripping wet condition, it will completely dry in no time on a sunny day.

    【How to Dry】
Too much direct sunlight may result in fading and discoloration. Hang dry in the shade.

    Optional: Wrinkle-Free Tips

    Remove Wrinkles
It is difficult to iron a wrinkled linen shirt. If you like wrinkle-free-look shirts in general, try to stretch and smooth out the wrinkles by hand while it is wet.

    Dampen with Sprayer
Wrinkles are difficult to remove when dried. Use a sprayer to moisten the fabric when ironing. It’s recommended to iron the linen products before they’re completely dry with medium temperature setting.

     • Storing
Use a hanger with wide/ thick shoulder to minimize deformation. If you prefer folding the linen products, fold them loosely and avoid placing heavy object or other apparels on top.
