Q. Shopping Bag Charge
As part of our commitment to sustainability, UNIQLO aims to reduce our single use paper consumption. We encourage our customers to bring reusable bags when they shop in our stores.
With this effort we have started charging Php 2 for every paper bag from September 5, 2022.
Our paper bag proceeds will be going towards our two partner organizations, Haribon Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation, to aid in their respective environment conservation efforts.
About the beneficiaries and support programs:

➜ Haribon Foundation:
UNIQLO has partnered with Haribon Foundation to support their Forests For Life Movement.
This project aims to promote forest conservation and revitalize the forest covers in their different sites nationwide.
The proceeds amount entails support for the care and cultivation of the seedlings, including covering the livelihood of the communities caring for them. The communities are partner organizations local to the different areas that serve as the stewards of looking after the growth of our forests.
As of May 2024, UNIQLO has been able to donate over 7,500 seedlings in Haribon Foundation sites located in Laguna and Zambales.
Over 5,000 seedlings in the Mt. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape (San Pablo, Laguna) 2,500 seedlings to be planted in Zambales

➜ ABS-CBN Foundation:
UNIQLO has partnered with ABS-CBN Foundation to support their Citizen Science Program.
This program aims to support ocean conservation efforts, including educating communities on how to be the steward of marine biodiversity, arming them with the tools to survey, study and look after their coastline waters.
The Citizen Science Program is part of a bigger effort from the Foundation to help protect and preserve the Verde Island Passage, which is the center of the center of marine biodiversity in the world.
This project will have its pilot run in Mabini, Batangas by July 2024, supporting the community by providing education on marine conservation efforts, as well as sustainable livelihood options.

■ How much are we charging for the paper bag?
We will charge PHP 2.00 per paper bag, regardless of the size from XXS to Large.
■ Are the paper bags charged per transaction or per bag?
We will charge per bag. For example, if customer needs three (3) paper bags per transaction, customer needs to purchase three (3) paper bags for a total of PHP 6.00.
■ When is the start of paper bag charging?
We will start charging of paper bags on September 5, 2022 onwards.
■ Is the paper bag charge applicable to all stores?
Yes, all stores will practice this initiative.
■ If I order items thru Click & Collect, will I be given paper bag when I collect my items from the store?
No. Paper bag will not be given for free for Click & Collect. Customer can purchase it directly in the store.
■ Since I paid for the paper bag, can I return the paper bag and get a refund?
In principle, we do not refund used paper bags, but we will exchange/refund only with the following conditions:
Refund
① If a customer buys more than the necessary quantity, we will refund the unused paper bag.
Example - A customer purchased 2 bags and then realized only 1 bag is necessary for his/her purchase.
② In the process of exchanging or refund of the purchased products, it is refundable if the paper bag is not damaged and can be reused (based on the condition of the paper bag).
Exchange
① If the paper bag is damaged on the day of purchase and customer requests exchange of the paper bag, we provide a new paper bag without any additional charge.
② In case the size of the bag changes due to the additional purchase in the process of exchanging and refund the purchased products, we provide larger size one without any additional cost.
