Q. CCTV Policy
This CCTV Privacy Policy is intended to inform you that when you visit our stores or engage in commercial transactions with Fast Retailing Philippines, Inc. (UNIQLO) in our stores, we may process your personal data as outlined below through our Closed Circuit Television (CCTV):
What We Collect: Images and videos of staff, customers, and properties inside the store premises.
Purposes of Processing:
- To ensure safety of customers, staff and properties inside our premises.
- Secure customer/s, staff, and properties security, and the security of our premises.
- For other legitimate business purposes.
All collected personal data will be stored and disposed of in accordance with our policies and legal requirements. UNIQLO takes reasonable steps to ensure personal information is protected against loss, damage, misuse, and unauthorized access. UNIQLO restricts access to this information only to authorized representatives, which by law or by Company Policy needs access to the information in accordance with the above purposes for processing the personal information.
Retention period shall be 90 days only. There is no guarantee that the information you are requesting will be held by UNIQLO at the time you want to access this. UNIQLO shall archive the CCTV Images/ footage only when there is a lawful order from the court, tribunal, or regulatory body requiring UNIQLO to preserve such CCTV Image/ footage.
UNIQLO shall produce a copy of the portions of the CCTV images/ footage from its records when available only when required by lawful order from the court, tribunal, or regulatory agency requiring UNIQLO to produce the same. Compliance therewith shall be limited to what is requested in the lawful order. Access to the CCTV area where the CCTV footages are stored shall be secured and restricted to authorized personnel only. There will be instances where the CCTV will have maintenance or due to fortuitous events, there may be no CCTV recording.
Your Data Privacy Rights: As a customer, you have the right to access the portion of the footage capturing you or your property in our premises provided that requested information only relates to you. Any unauthorized recording of the CCTV footage is prohibited and UNIQLO shall take necessary action to stop the breach of the information which may be through but not limited to confiscation of any recording device and deletion of unauthorized recording. UNIQLO reserves the right to file any appropriate criminal/ civil cases against persons violating this policy.
In order to request for the recorded information in the CCTV, please send a letter addressed to the manager containing the following:
1. Reason for the request
2. Date of the incident to be checked in the CCTV
3. Time of the incident
Please also submit the following:
1. ID of requesting party
2. Court order/official police request for criminal investigation, if available
3. Supporting documents to establish relation to fraudulent transaction, if applicable
UNIQLO reserves the right to amend, add, and supplement this CCTV Policy based on our regular evaluation of the policy. It is your responsibility to check our policies periodically for changes.
